What did I do to grow my business?
Last week it has been an up and down ride. I talked to some hotels, but nothing so far. Maybe the universe has another plan, let’s see. My mum listened to the yoga nidra guide and we reviewed it together. Before publishing, I will write an explaining post about it. So that you can follow along even if you have no experience with yoga nidra. Otherwise, the week went a bit slow, I taught my classes, but nothing else too exciting happened.
How often did I practice and when?
Practising went well. I skipped one day, but I am not too hard on myself for that. It is a process of learning what works and what does not. Every day when I manage to get out of bed early, it is a breeze to practice. Every time I sleep in, I have to drag myself to the mat. I can see the link to Tapas (the third niyama) in my daily life. Damn it yoga wisdom, your right once again.
What did I teach?
The theme of the week is grounding down and recharging. One class focused on how we stand on the ground with our feet and how our hands push into the mat when they are on the ground. A lot of standing postures to explore the different weight shifts. And some core work, because there is no stability without a strong core. The second class focused more on balance poses. Balancing gets easier when you are grounded, but it works the other way around as well.
Plans for the next week
I want to finally finish the yoga nidra guide upload. It is more work than I thought, but I think it is worth it. I will have to figure out another stream of income next week, another hotel, a studio to teach in or something else. I will stay open-minded. With another teacher training coming up, I have to up my savings to pay the tuition.
- I enjoyed listening to this podcast: Wie politisch darf Yoga sein? (Heiliger Bimbam, Podcast of FuckLuckyGoHappy) It is in German, but I can recommend to all you German-speaking folks out there.
