About Peppermint Yoga

Peppermint Yoga is for all nature lovers, adventurers and yogis on the search for more connectedness and relaxation.

Yoga as a way to more serenity, freedom and community. With asana (body postures), pranayama (breath work), meditation and yogic philosophy. Yoga on the mat and in life. With depth, but without esoteric additions. With both feet on the ground and not lost in star constellations. Yoga for everyone who is willing to work on themselves and their surroundings.

Yoga should unite and bring people together, not setting unrealistic standards and rules. You can practice yoga and drink beer (maybe not at the same time..), you do not have to be able to touch your toes and I could not care less about your dress size. Be chaotic, be contradicting, be yourself. Let us not concentrate on what divides us, but celebrate what brings us together.

Do not listen to what holds you back from doing yoga, just do it. In your own way, on the mat or in the mountains, practising with me or for yourself.

Why Peppermint Yoga?

When I think of peppermint, I think of fresh, uncomplicated and versatile. That is how yoga should be in my opinion: down to earth, always relevant and suited for individual needs. Furthermore is Peppermint Yoga a tribute to one of my childhood heroes: Pippi Longstocking. (Her second name is peppermint) To say it in her words: "I never tried this before, therefore I am entirely sure that I can do it." (Astrid Lindgren in Pippi Longstocking)
